This Summer has been filled with margaritas, travel, baseball, and SO MUCH FOOD. I’ve felt so blessed to be able to take a lot of weekend trips among my long function weeks. The photos below catch a number of the occasions of a few travels to Miami, North & SC.

I REALLY LIKE margaritas. They are hands down the best drink and what better spot to enjoy them then beautiful, sunny Miami?! I had been in Miami for a trip to the BlogHer food conference wayyy back May. Our air travel was in fact diverted to Fort Myers for a few hours to due a tornado ON THE MIAMI AIRPORT.
Every thing turned out to be great, but we were continued the runway all night! I remember departing Minneapolis around 10am and not arriving in Miami until 9pm. Therefore, a margarita was required.
Next up! THE MEALS. Miami is known because of their amazing meals and I was not disappointed. I took full advantage of savoring everything Hispanic influenced including big dishes of guac, plantain potato chips, and AMAZING Grain.
Surprisingly I exercised everyday during my trip. The downtown Hilton Miami experienced a good workout center and we strolled nearly almost everywhere we went, as well!
This was a little appetizer selection from a celebration with Stitch Fix ! We munched on mushroom bruschetta, wines, parmesan cheese, and amazing bacon wrapped fig. AGAIN, so much food.
Here was the view from my hotel room. It was super humid outside, but everything I adored.
Meet my eating partner in crime, Maegan ! We literally ate everything we’re able to in Miami, purchasing a little bit at every bakery and restaurant we went.
One evening we made a decision to walk from downtown to Southern Beach to eat dinner at among Jose Andres’ restaurants. I think it was around three miles and a little bit frightening, but we required the exercise! After all just take a look at what we were eating…
Sticky buns. Coconut Wedding cake Shakes. Cookies.
I think my favorite was probably the coconut cake shake. It had been unquestionably delicious and I adored the raspberry that came with it.
Then there were these AMAZING cookies that Meagan simply had to get and of course, I had to take a handful of bites.
The main one with coconut, pecans and chocolate was absolutely fabulous. But I literally had to avoid after two bites. I simply couldn’t eat any more.
After a few fun days in Miami, I jetsetted to NEW YORK for a brief weekend with Tony.

I love being able to see him pitch. It in fact keeps me thinking about baseball. He actually got moved up to new group this week, which is extremely fascinating! I’m so pleased with him.
Of course after a short trip to see him, it’s back on another airline flight in the wee hours of Monday morning so I might get back again to my regular job.
I wasn’t back in Minneapolis for too much longer before I had another trip planned back. This one was an actual vacation!
Tony and We planned a vacation to Myrtle Seaside, South Carolina. I had by no means been to South Carolina, but I used to be SO excited to lay for the beach and relax.
Ps. if you are ever at the Minneapolis airport terminal, eat at French Meadow! Their organic breakfasts are perfect.
Tony picked me up from the Charlotte airport terminal and we drove roughly three hours to Myrtle Beach. We stayed at a hotel near Broadway, a place where all the nightlife was. It was a good 20 minute walk to the seaside, but I really like walking therefore i didn’t mind.
Once we arrived, it was glorious. The beach was beautiful with clean, warm sand and a salty ocean breeze.
Precisely what I needed.
We spent the majority of our days enjoying cocktails and going swimming. Myrtle Beach actually does not have that great of meals, therefore i wasn’t that impressed with any of the restaurants. We simply were pleased to be able to forget about football and work with a little bit. Sometimes you merely need a small travel to reveal, you know?
During the night, we went with one of Tony’s teammates who also happened to be in Myrtle Seaside along with his girlfriend. Each night we stayed out late and danced the night away.
If you are in Myrtle Beach, you might browse the ferris wheel overlooking the sea. I didn’t get a chance to accomplish it, but think it would have already been fun!
I wish I used to be back in that ideal weather at this time.
After our trip to Myrtle, we drove back to North Carolina where I proceeded to BAKE ALL THE COOKIES. Because that’s precisely what I do.
I also surely got to see Tony pitch around the 4th of July.
And watched him eat way too much food.
We planned a day night in because we were sick of extra cash and because we love cooking jointly; it’s fun to flavor test, drink wines and disagree on what things should be made.
I really wanted to produce The Pioneer Woman’s Baked Ziti , but with a wholesome makeover. I actually think it’s one of the best italian meals I’ve ever made myself and recommend it.
Here’s it going into the oven. I have no idea why my muscle groups look therefore jacked, but I’ll take it.
The finished dish was amazing. We combined it using a part salad and garlic bread. I sensed good about operating 5 mls that day.
Cause the next day I ate two of these cookies PLUS THEY WERE GLORIOUS.
Then I returned on another airplane to Minneapolis.
