2 pounds brussels sprouts

1/4 cup chopped hazelnuts

Instructions
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
Clean brussel sprouts, cut off ends (root) and discard, then cut each sprout in two. Place brussel sprouts in large dish, drizzle with 1 teaspoon of essential olive oil, sprinkle with a bit of salt and pepper, and toss to evenly coat. Set aside.
Make the bacon and hazelnuts in a big oven-proof skillet over medium heat until the bacon starts to become sharp and hazelnuts become slightly toasted, about 4-5 mins. Transfer the bacon and hazelnuts to a medium dish and reserve. Keep warmth and add the brussel sprouts to the skillet. Drizzle maple syrup around brussel spouts and mix in skillet to evenly distribute in the sprouts. Cook brussel sprouts in pan for about 5 minutes or until they become a little bit caramelized and get a tiny golden brownish.
Put pan in the oven and roast the brussel sprouts for about thirty minutes, the add the bacon and hazelnuts to the pan using the brussel sprouts and roast about ten minutes longer or until sprouts are caramelized and golden. Add sodium and pepper to taste.
