In my fantasy world I’d go on the beach, have a complete Foods salad bar in my kitchen, and consume magical zero calorie banana cream pie every day for dessert.
I’d enjoy every sunrise with a continental breakfast time and purchase a German Shepard because I think they’re really cute. I’d visit Machu Picchu, bungee leap daily, and make s’mores to get a bedtime treat. I’d personal a banana bread just bakery that serves wine. Oh and I certainly would NEVER spill wine on my white skinny jeans (it happened this weekend).
But that’s all just in my fantasy world.
In real life I’m producing big batches of pancakes on Sundays, chasing dogs around a nearby when they run away, and convincing myself to exercise daily.
Lately I’ve been testing out recipes. Generally on kids simply because they hardly ever lie to you; they either like it or they don’t really.
Here’s Ava trying out a layered cake I produced. I think I need to start renting kids for recipe assessment.
Next week I’m headed out to California again! As soon as I first visited, I fell in love with it. And now I couldn’t become more excited! I’ll take a million photographs and update my about me page soon. There are so a lot of things that I can’t wait to share.
For the present time, I made you some healthy pancakes. Wait around… are they healthful if they possess chocolate chips within them? That’s your decision! I make an effort to maintain them low in calories through the use of egg whites, high protein greek yogurt, and quinoa. I also recommend using whole wheat grains white flour.
But 1st let’s simply eat some feel-good super romantic and always delicious pancakes.
My just problem with pancakes? Deciding if I need blueberry or chocolates chip. Since I really like both, I added them to my quinoa pancake batter. Yeah my mind is pretty odd; however, my taste buds are not. These are a gift from the universe.
Aren’t you just a little intrigued? Probably puzzled using the combination?
Whatever your thought, I assure you these pancakes are a whole lot of deliciousness. Blueberry chocolate chip pancakes are sort of just an essential life experience. Something you need to try at least once.
Or a million times. Whatever!
Juicy, warm berries as well as über creamy delicious chocolate chips packed in a healthy little pancake. Consider it outrageous by providing them in genuine maple syrup (or Pig feet Eating peanut butter!) and chasing with one glass of ice-cold milk.
Makes 8-10 pancakes
1 1/2 teaspoons cooking powder
1/4 teaspoon coarse salt
3 huge egg whites
1/2 cup milk of your decision (skim, soy, almond, coconut)
1 tablespoon darkish sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
2/3 cup fresh blueberries
1/2 cup chocolate chips
Directions
In a medium bowl, whisk together quinoa, flour, baking natural powder, and salt. In another moderate bowl, whisk jointly egg whites, yogurt, milk, and brown sugars until easy. Add egg mixture to flour combination and whisk to combine. Add vanilla and whisk once again. Next gently flip in blueberries.
Lightly coat a big nonstick skillet or griddle with butter or cooking spray and heat more than medium. Drop batter by 1/4 cup onto skillet. Cook until bubbles appear on top, about 2 mins. Turn cakes and cook until golden brown on underside, 2 minutes. Clean skillet clean and repeat with an increase of melted butter and staying batter.
I used dark chocolate chips for a good contrast using the berries, but you can use whichever chocolate chip you’d like
