Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Evenly spread pecans with an ungreased baking sheet. Toast pecans in oven for 6-8 moments, being careful not to burn nuts. Mine had been flawlessly toasted at 8 moments. Remove from oven and allow nuts to cool for a few minutes.
Transfer to mason jar or pot and store at room heat range or in refrigerator. If you shop at room temp, simply give the pecan butter a stir before you use it.
