Hi guys! Sorry about acquiring last week off of blogging. I was in Boston on just a little vacation with some of my close friends from college. We’d an unbelievable time baking cookies (fresh recipe just around the corner), exploring the North End, playing around Southie, and laughing until we couldn’t any longer. Life is great! I’ll possess a recap shortly of all of my Boston outings plus some favorite things of mine, as well! But needless to say, Monday came and holiday ended. And now it’s October; I cannot believe it! I am busy operating outside seeking to soak everything up before Minnesota climate comes swinging in with bad temperatures. Certainly since it’s been so lovely, I’ve been slacking in the cooking department. Sorry about that! I’m back right now… with tasty small bars. You’re excited, right?
You ought to be! I’m an enormous fan of all things pumpkin. Actually if I had to choose my last food on earth, it might be a simple slice of warm pumpkin pie with whipped cream. That’s my heaven. Significantly pumpkin may be the JAM to my peanut butter. What I really mean is usually that it completes me.
These bars are simply as beautiful as pie within their very own way. They make mornings a little brighter. Somehow they feel passionate and will definitely have your house smelling like fall.
Oh and did I mention that they are healthy? Yes, it is possible to totally consume them for breakfast or as a treat – there’s only 128 calories per pub and healthy substances, too!
To make sure this recipe was gluten free, I used gluten-free oats to make oat flour (listed in the instructions). Producing oat flour among the easiest things to do, and specifically wonderful if you are gluten free of charge! Oats hold a huge amount of moisture and offer healthy carbs – therefore eat up!
Second of all, I used TAKE IT EASY chocolate chips to keep carefully the recipe vegan-friendly. However if you aren’t vegan, regular mini potato chips will work simply fine!
I hope you love this recipe. I’ve been working hard to generate better for you treats and snacks! So of course… more coming soon!

Delicious!! I produced these tonight and plan on making another batch soon.
I’m wondering how adding some peanut butter works? A small amount of extra proteins and flavour but may be too much?
Hi Monique!! I think I’m doing something amiss with these pubs. I made them the first time and while they looked amazing, they had a really strong after-taste (kind of metallicy/soapy). I researched the formula and noticed I hadn’t utilized aluminum-free baking powder. So I made them again, this time using the right baking powder. Once again they looked amazing but got the SAME aftertaste. I must say i want to love these….have you got any idea on what I’m carrying out wrong? I feel like I’m a little crazy, but I swear I’m following the recipe exactly, aside from spraying my skillet with coconut oil spray (I’ve considered that and do not think this step would yield the result I’m obtaining).
you have any suggestions ?
I love your site!!
These bars are So excellent! I am not really vegan so I utilized 2 eggs rather than the applesauce, just because I had developed no applesauce on hand. I also utilized nearer to 2/3 glass chocolate chips. They are not really super sweet, but so moist! I wish to share them so I don’t eat all of them myself but at the same time don’t want to share whatsoever!! These will be a staple for me when I need a sweet treat.
Does anyone eventually know the vitamins and minerals for the initial recipe?
