Hello from beautiful Scottsdale, AZ! MAY I just say how good it feels to be in warm weather with out a scarf, coating or mittens? I am craving warm sunshine on my pores and skin since early October.
Don’t be concerned though, I’m sure all of those other country will capture up soon. March ‘s almost here, which for me means patio time of year, rooftop pubs, farmer’s markets, biking along Lake Michigan, working outside, berries and ALL THE SMOOTHIES…
My love for smoothies continues to be wicked solid since way back this year 2010 once i was a youngin’ in college. When I initial started studying diet and fitness, I was adamant about attaining some muscles and learning how exactly to refuel my own body following a workout. Smoothies with just a little protein powder or greek yogurt had been a good way to get proteins, vitamins and diet in!
Smoothies aren’t just for breakfast though; I’ll often have one one hour or so before bed. I specifically love when you can make them flavor like ice cream, that is exactly what today’s smoothie reminds me of.
Specifically I’m wondering if you remember Neapolitan ice cream? It’s just a little difficult to find today, but I adored it once i was a youngster. A scoop of all three wonderful flavors: strawberry, vanilla, and chocolate. Oh hells yes. My edition calls for banana in the middle because I kind of wanted it to end up like a banana split.
This smoothie is made in partnership with Almond Breeze Most of you know I bake with their almond milk all the time, but this time around I wanted to their new extra creamy vanilla cashewmilk almondmilk ! It’s ridiculously great and ideal for smoothie-makin’. Oh and I REALLY LIKE the flavor. It is rather simple creamy cashew goodness.
There are many tips to making this smoothie beautiful & delicious:
-Use iced bananas. They change lives in the width from the smoothie and are critical. I love to peel off my bananas, after that place them within a ziploc handbag and freeze right away.
-Make use of a vanilla protein powder or one which you really love! I haven’t tested this recipe without protein natural powder so I’m not sure how it would turn out in the event that you didn’t use it. I think you could use greek yogurt and decrease the amount of almondmilk.
-Don’t worry about it being ideal. You can also get this into a smoothie bowl and swirl everything jointly!
