In the meantime, I have already been waiting to bring you these AMAZING peanut butter protein balls (that taste just like a a combination between cookie dough along with a peanut butter cup) since late October. The timing just never felt right with all of the vacation goodies. I’m sure you’re more than ready for them now. Am I right?

I am tweaking this formula since a minimum of last August, when these balls first began as protein bars. I certainly enjoyed them, but wasn’t deeply in love with this. Since then, they’ve been examined with most of my homemade nut butters, several brands of protein powder and a few different flavors. Eventually, this version surfaced as the accurate winner and now I love to think of them because the poster kid of healthy, easy snacking. No grains, low carbohydrate, healthy fatty acids, no sugar added, and an excellent mixture of both proteins and fiber.

If you enjoyed this write-up and you would such as to get even more facts regarding stuffed zucchini boats ground beef rice kindly browse through our own web site. Truth be told, this probably is among my most favourite snacks on the blog AND they just take five minutes to make.

I do want to inform you a little bit more regarding the diet & substances in these peanut butter balls, because I’m like a Mother when it comes to recipes. I really like guiding you along so that you’re always ready & informed.

First things, 1st is the peanut butter! You’ll want to make use of an all natural drippy peanut butter. I like Trader Joe’s peanut butter made with only roasted peanuts and salt. Another favorite is definitely Santa Cruz Dark Roasted Peanut Butter since it tastes like platinum (if that were a thing).

Next up may be the coconut flour. Although you’ll just need a little amount, it is important in the formula. I do suspect you could try a gluten free oat flour, but no guarantees on that!

BONUS!

GUESS WHAT?! Because I really like you guys a lot, Aloha provides generously decided to offer 20% off purchases of $50 or even more through 1/31/16! All you have to do is certainly use the code ‘ambitiousaloha’ at checkout.

1/2 cup protein powder (I used Aloha Vanilla Protein Powder)

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

2 tablespoons chocolates chips

In a big dish, add all ingredients except chocolate chips. Blend together utilizing a wooden spoon until elements are well combined and resemble a gentle cookie dough. If it seems to dry put in a teaspoon or two even more almond milk. If too wet, add a teaspoon more of coconut flour. Transfer for an airtight container and store in refrigerator. Makes 12 balls.

To make vegan: Make use of vegan chocolate potato chips such as enjoy life, or leave out chocolate potato chips completely.

I would recommend using Aloha’s proteins powder which is plant based and made without stevia (they use a small amount of coconut sugar). It’s my absolute preferred vegan proteins powder out there and makes these balls irresistible. If you decide to make use of another proteins powder, ensure that it’s natural, no sugars added and clean.

Ok simply whipped these up and I’m happy with how they arrived! Made a couple of modifications with what I had readily available, however in case other people was wanting to know, peanut flour lends itself well in this formula for the protein powder, or at least part of it (I utilized half peanut half something else)

Happy these aren’t lovely- they are a perfect pre-/post-workout snack for me!!
