Every night when I go to bed I believe about food combinations. I’m not joking. Pairing meals combinations together eventually lull me into a gorgeous sleep. Actually ever since we got our bed from Helix , I’ve been sleeping such as a true angel!

But I have noticed that my dreams have grown to be a lot more vivid – and strange too. Check this out: The other night I put a dream which i was Miley Cyrus (but still myself in some way) which I turned into a blue automatic robot on an isle. I had two other friends which i didn’t know now there. Suddenly a group of various other blue robots emerged and explained I could elect to pass away (extremely gruesomely) OR that I could take two products and swim across the ocean to some other island. I chose the second option and took a fine sand bucket and something else I can’t remember. I grabbed my pal and we managed to get across.

Once on the far side of the ocean and about a new island, we noticed there is a beautiful however murky-looking fish pond. We went swimming, but abruptly felt something contact our toes. I informed everyone I thought it was a stingray. We couldn’t be certain though, so decided to drain the pond somehow. Once drained, five random creatures (a stingray, alligator, and a man from Mortal Kombat) popped out of the drinking water and wished to fight. It had been super dramatic.

Then I woke up and ate toast with chai-spiced hazelnut almond butter and pears. Today you understand that I’m a classic weird human.

Anyway enough about my dreams and much more about this hazelnut almond butter! I made it because I had fashioned a bag of hazelnuts sitting in my counter before we shifted and wished to make something together. So, why not make a straightforward buttery hazelnut almond butter?

While I really like hazelnuts, I find that enjoying them alone is often overpowering, specifically in a nut butter (unless it’s chocolate obviously). So I added almonds as well. And chai spices! I think you’ll like it because it in some way reminds me of Xmas morning hours or sipping on the chai tea latte on a chilly fall morning hours. How many times until Christmas once again?

Hope you enjoy this hazelnut almond butter – one of my favorite ways to use it is in these breakfast strawberry banana quesadillas xo!

Chai-Spiced Almond Hazelnut Butter

Total period:

Ingredients

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Instructions

Preheat oven to 350 levels F and add hazelnuts and almonds to a large baking sheet, spreading away to evenly distribute. Roast for 10-12 mins or until slightly golden.

Enable nuts to cool for five minutes after that transfer to some kitchen towel. Cover nut products in towel and make use of the hands to move the nut products around so you take away the skins of the hazelnuts (don’t worry about almonds). This can help to attain a creamier nut butter. Keeping the skins on is usually okay though, simply understand your nut butter won’t be as creamy.

Once most of the skins are off the hazelnuts, it is possible to transfer the nuts to the meals processor or broadband blender (like a Vitamix). Procedure on high until simple, scraping down the sides as necessary. Add coconut sugars & coconut essential oil to aid in blending. At this point the nuts should begin to clump together. Continue to procedure unless you reach the required consistency. I love mine extra creamy!

Once nut butter is blended, add the spices and salt and mix for 30 mere seconds more. Pour right into a large glass jar or pot. To keep fresh new, store in the fridge for up to 1 month.
