I’ve been asking myself all those queries because most times it feels as though I’m chasing an unknown fantasy. However, I know that I’m meant to be upon this journey which ultimately it’s the right choice for me. For some reason, I feel compelled to write, to make and share meals, and to unquestionably pour my heart into my art.
Of course I’m sure you have a passion as well – something that makes your pulse enthusiastically; but are you doing something about any of it? So many of us wait for occasions of success to appear in front folks instead of searching for and pursuing what we should truly want. The important thing is to let your passion movement freely and enable your dreams to reside wildly. Your intuition will show you through your fear.
OKAY, the Wednesday Preach is over. Time for me to talk about my exquisite passion for delicious salad producing with you.
This salad is completely incredible and probably among my new favorites. I’d also put it right up now there with my Thai Quinoa Salad
The flavors are shiny, fresh, and flavorful. It’s not only incredibly healthy, but it’s also gluten free of charge and vegan friendly.
The dressing? HOLY Like OF MY LIFE. To pass away for! I wish to swim within a plate of it. I could chug a cup for breakfast time, it’s that good.
Alright the final statement was extreme, nevertheless, you get where I’m going with it. It’s simply delightful.
Now you may be wondering what dark rice is and where you can find it.
I came across organic black rice at Whole Foods, and that is probably going to become your best bet. Otherwise you could often order it on-line. If you cannot find black grain, quinoa or jasmine brownish rice would be a nice substitute.
This rice salad really has everything. Nice mango, creamy avocado, the nutty crunch through the almonds, and the fresh taste through the dressing and cilantro. It’s perfect for potlucks, served alone, or will be great with grilled chicken or fish.

Ingredients
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 little ripe avocado, diced or sliced
1/4 cup roasted almonds

1 1/2 tablespoons olive oil
1 teaspoon honey (agave nectar if vegan)
1/4 teaspoon Kosher salt
1 clove garlic clove, minced
lime wedges, to garnish
Instructions
Rinse grain in mesh strainer. Add to moderate saucepan. Add 2 3/4 cups water along with a pinch of sodium; provide to a boil. Cover, decrease to a minimal simmer, and make until rice is normally tender and water is ingested about 30-40 minutes. When rice is done cooking food, remove from high temperature and transfer to a bowl. Great for 10 minutes before adding dressing.
While rice is food preparation prepare the dressing: Combine lime juice, olive oil, garlic clove, honey (or agave), cilantro, and sodium in a food processor chip. Procedure for 15-30 mere seconds or until dressing is normally combined. I’m Haitian, so black grain was a staple we were young. I think my family will love this fresh dish too.
