A few months ago, Tony and We had the chance to visit Pensacola, Florida where we’d the absolute BEST truffle fries on the planet. The heavenly warm fries were filled with garlic and truffle taste, melted in your mouth and had this gorgeous crusty golden external that I just couldn’t overcome.
I actually finally reached my French fry heaven. Among my weaknesses in lifestyle. Yours too?
Good, because I’ve got the very best baked french fries on the planet for you yourself to devour…
After tasting the golden brown crispy little loves in Pensacola, I dropped head over heels for truffle oil. In fact, I ended up purchasing a bottle of truffle essential oil just therefore i could recreate the fries at home! My edition calls for baking rather than frying, making them a lot lighter in calorie consumption in fats, but not at all flavor.
Also, when did the regular old potato become this kind of bad thing? I REALLY LIKE POTATOES. And I really like french fries.
The secret to crispy, golden goodness? Adding a little parmesan towards the fries before baking. It blends using the oil and sticks towards the fries, so not only does it add a crispiness like no additional but you get extra flavor too!
Because of this version, I used Go Veggie’s parmesan , which is lovely when you have tummy issues or are lactose free. There is also a vegan version that completely ROCKS.
Lastly, if you cannot find truffle oil in your area it is possible to order it online right here , or just skip it and use essential olive oil in lieu of the truffle oil. In any event, these fries will be FANTASTIC.
I would recommend serving these with bunless burgers, grilled chicken or fish, or just as an appetizer for noshing on! Hope you like.
Healthy Baked French Fries with Garlic clove, Parmesan & Truffle Oil
Recipe type: People from france Fries, Side Meals, Supper, Healthy, Gluten Free of charge, Grain Free
1 1/2 tablespoons olive oil (1 tablespoon may also work)
½ tablespoon truffle oil
½ teaspoon garlic powder
½ teaspoon ocean salt
Extra truffle oil, for drizzling on top
Salt and pepper, to taste
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Series two large baking sheets with parchment paper and generously aerosol with nonstick cooking food spray.
Cut potatoes into ¼” in . thick matchsticks. To do this cut the potatoes in half…
Place the lower potatoes right into a large dish and pat down with a paper towel to absorb any excess dampness. Next add olive oil, truffle essential oil, garlic, garlic powder and salt to the dish, toss to mix. Sprinkle parmesan mozzarella cheese at the top and softly toss again.
Arrange fries on the two prepared baking sheets so that none of the fries are coming in contact with. This allows them to crisp up while they bake. Apply the top of the french fries with just a little olive oil cooking spray (canola also works). Put in place oven, baking bed sheets side by side, and bake for 20 moments, then flip fries over with a steel spatula and rotate the pans. Bake for 15-20 even more minutes and flip again if essential to brown all edges of the fries.
Once fries are nice and golden brown, remove through the oven and allow to cool in baking bed sheets for five minutes. After that drizzle just a little extra truffle essential oil at the top and garnish with extra parmesan, cilantro or parsley. Season with additional sodium and pepper, if you want! Serves with lots of ketchup or your favorite dipping sauce. Acts 4 people.
Unless you have truffle oil, you can simply use essential olive oil instead.
