A few months ago, Tony and I had the opportunity to check out Pensacola, Florida where we had the absolute BEST truffle fries on the planet. The heavenly sizzling fries were filled with garlic and truffle taste, melted in the mouth area and experienced this beautiful crusty golden exterior that I just couldn’t get over.
I finally reached my French fry heaven. Among my weaknesses in lifestyle. Yours too?
Good, because I’ve got the very best baked french fries on the planet for you to devour…
After tasting the golden brown crispy little loves in Pensacola, I fell head over heels for truffle oil. Actually, I ended up purchasing a bottle of truffle oil just so I could recreate the fries in the home! My edition calls for cooking instead of frying, which makes them a whole lot lighter in calories in excess fat, but not at all flavor.
Also, when did the regular old potato become this kind of bad thing? I LOVE POTATOES. And I really like french fries.
The secret to crispy, golden goodness? Adding a little parmesan to the fries before baking. It blends using the essential oil and sticks to the fries, therefore not only does it put in a crispiness like no additional but you get extra flavor as well!
Because of this version, I used Go Veggie’s parmesan , that is lovely when you have tummy issues or are lactose free. There is also a vegan version that completely ROCKS.
Lastly, if you can’t find truffle oil near you you can order it online right here , or just skip it and use essential olive oil instead of the truffle oil. Either way, these fries is going to be FANTASTIC.
I recommend serving these with bunless burgers, grilled chicken or fish, or just as an appetizer for noshing in! Hope you LOVE.

Extra truffle oil, for drizzling on top

Preheat oven to 400 levels F. Range two large cooking bed sheets with parchment paper and generously squirt with nonstick cooking spray.
Slice potatoes into ¼” inches thick matchsticks. To get this done cut the potatoes in half…
Place the lower potatoes into a large dish and pat straight down having a paper towel to soak up any excess dampness. Next add essential olive oil, truffle oil, garlic, garlic natural powder and salt towards the bowl, toss to mix. Sprinkle parmesan cheese at the top and carefully toss again.
Arrange fries in the two ready baking sheets so that none from the fries are touching. This allows them to crisp up while they bake. Spray the top of the people from france fries with a little olive oil cooking food spray (canola also functions). Place in oven, baking bedding side by side, and bake for 20 moments, then flip fries over with a steel spatula and rotate the pans. Bake for 15-20 even more minutes and flip again if necessary to brown all sides of the fries.
Once fries are great and golden dark brown, remove through the oven and allow to cool about baking sheets for five minutes. Then drizzle a little extra truffle oil on top and garnish with extra parmesan, cilantro or parsley. Season with additional salt and pepper, if you want! Serves with lots of ketchup or your favorite dipping sauce. Acts 4 people.
If you don’t have truffle essential oil, you can simply use essential olive oil instead.
